November Wrap-up
So how did I do with my goal for November? I did really well on a lot of it. I exercised more and made way healthier choices for eating. I only lost a couple pounds, but I am continuing to make those healthy choices and I think I laid the ground work for further health.
I made and broke two dental appointments, things kept getting in the way. I intend to make another appointment after the new year.
I had a full physical and learned that I might have a thyroid thing happening, and that my cholesterol went up again, to 212, so I might have to go on medicine even though I have not been putting cholesterol in my body. I must just make too much. I have had many family members die between the ages of 40 and 60 because of heart problems so this is not something I should put off for long. If diet and exercise won't keep me heart healthy, I might have to use meds. It's hard for me to come to that conclusion, so I don't do it lightly.
I had a thyroid panel done and I'll learn more about that in a few weeks, I hope all is well there!
So, even though what I was hoping for didn't come to pass, I feel like I did a great job on my goals and I am more informed and prepared for the future.
December Goal
I am late with posting about this, but not late on starting!
My goal is to Be Organized
Those who know me, know that I am a terrible housekeeper, my house may have just one clean room, or no clean rooms. It's never disgusting, but it's NEVER clean. I can never invite someone to walk freely through the house because there is always a room or more that is really out of control messy.
I am also late for everything, or I forget I have a meeting/appointment/something I have to do. I mail everything late, I'm rushing to get things done. Then I get home and look at the mess and ignore it because I'm tired.
I believe that when you are messy on the outside, it's because you are messy on the inside. So I feel like if I can clean up EVERYTHING and start doing things on time and create a way to be more organized that I will have more time to do things I want to do, like Learn to play the Guitar, and also be cleaner and more balanced on the inside.
I also believe that my kids deserve to live in a clean and safe environment.
So for the three days that my car was in the shop I cleaned like a mad woman and I have all but the toy room, the bathrooms and my closet clean. I will continue to clean until the house is done, and I will keep it clean. I will clean every day and find joy in it. I have already found joy in having the house clean. And I mean DEEP CLEANED.
Tomorrow a friend is coming over to help me with the things that need elbow grease and I should be close to having things organized, decluttered, and cleaned.
After that I will start writing things down and planning ahead. I will not rush, because I will plan to be on time. Things are going to be great this month and I will learn so much! I'm excited!
How do YOU stay organized and clean in your life?
